GLCPC Family Network Goals

 

  • Provide family education and support that builds on and enhances family strengths
  • Facilitate active family involvement
  • Promote family literacy and school readiness

 

Services for families with young children from 0 to 3 years old are provided through a   variety of activities including:

 

  • Structured Play Groups
  • Drop-in Playtimes
  • Field Trips
  • Special Child Focused Events

 

 

 

Family Support & Parent Leadership

 

  • Parent Education Workshops
  • Prenatal Classes
  • Young Parent Groups
  • Resource Library

 

Assistance & support in the community is provided by the following:

 

Central Catholic High School, Child Care Circuit, Community Day Care, Inc., Department of Social Services. Family Service, Inc., Greater Lawrence Community Action Council, Inc., Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence High School, Lazarus house, MSPCC, Northern Essex Community College,  Professional Center for Child Development, SHED, Women’s Resource Center, & YWCA
